Orthodontic treatment will require many visits over a period of about 18-24 months. You will be seen for adjustments every 6-8 weeks. Remember, the less we see you due to missed appointments, the longer your treatment will take. Progress depends on regular adjustments and maintenance of your appliances. Regular visits are very important as it ensure that your treatment stays on track and continues to improve at a steady pace.
When appliances are removed and retainers are issued, we will continue to monitor your treatment at less regular intervals for some years after.
Co-operation throughout the course of your treatment is your best guarantee of achieving a great result without prolonging treatment time.
If you miss your appointment, your treatment time will likely be extended depending on how long it takes to fit you in again.
Missing your appointments, not only extends your treatment time, but we then have to back track and adjust things that could have been done in a shorter amount of time.
